TimeOut Devices, Inc. was formed in 1993 by Jim Daniel to develop and market specialized electronic devices for niche markets. The flagship product, the TimeOut-2400, traces its roots to a similar device developed in 1988 for a large market research organization. Customers include Kiosk Information Systems, NetShift, NCR, Compaq, and other large-scale operators and integrators of remote, unattended systems. Other products have been developed for Sangoma Technologies, Inc., a Canadian-based communications device manufacturer. TimeOut Devices, Inc. product line also includes consulting services specializing in communications in a point-of-sale environment.
